Before undertaking the entire process of ensuring that your pool is clean, remember that the frequency at which you clean your pool depends on how the pool is often used. It is therefore true to say that a frequently used pool will require frequent cleaning, compared to a rarely used pool.

In order to clean your pool, the following activities are fundamental. They are inevitable for clean pools. Firstly, in our section of learning on how to keep your pool clean, you will need to skim leaves and debris in your pool. This is a critical step in keeping your pool clean. In this step, use a long handled leaf skimming tool to gather the leaves and debris that are on the surface of the pool water.

Brushing off the dirt

In learning how to clean your pool, a brush is a must to use. Use the brush when trying to keep your pool clean. The brush is an important tool when it comes to removing dirt on the sides and at the bottom of the pool, and always ensure that you brush the dirt sediments towards the major drainage of the pool so that they are easily vacuumed.

After you have used your skimmers and brushes, the next step to ensuring that you keep your pool clean is to connect the vacuum head and the hose to the filter. The dirt is filtered out as well as vacuuming the collected dirt during the entire cleaning process.

Clean the skimmers

The skimmers are tools that are frequently used when cleaning your pools and they get extremely dirty. In order to keep your pool really clean, you will also need to keep the skimmers clean too. Ensure that your skimmers are clean each and every time you want to use them. You can also clean the after use.

All the leaves and debris have been removed from the pool. The skimmers themselves are clean, with the vacuum well working. The next thing in how to clean your pool is to check your water circulation and filters. Check the skimmers, the pumps, the pump strainers as well as the filters. If they are properly working, then the water is well circulating, with pool chemicals being in a position to work effectively. The water is well filtered too and you can now have a smile on your face as now you can enjoy the sparkling blue waters you once hoped for.
